Do you shoot in automatic all the time, but would like to learn the skills which will enable you to take control of your images instead of your camera making the decisions?   Are you still at school or college, and thinking of making photography a career choice?  Then consider One to One personal photography tuition with Monica at the ScarletDiva Studio in Berkhamsted.

 

Monica’s advantage over many other professional photographers offering tuition, is that she is able to combine her skills as a schoolteacher with her photographic experience to provide relaxed, bespoke, personal tuition which can be developed to take your own experience into account.

 

The course consists of two 2½ hour sessions, which include the use of studio lighting equipment, Adobe Photoshop, tuition notes and the use of a Nikon DSLR camera if required (we recommend you use your own DSLR if you have one)

 

Session 1 covers:

 

Camera/Exposure and Metering: Shutter speed/Aperture/White Balance/ISO

Lenses: Prime/Telephoto/Macro etc

 

Composition and the aesthetics of the photograph: Rule of Thirds/ /Cropping/Background/Foreground/Close-up/Portraits/Landscape

Photographic Software-Practical session: Adobe Photoshop/Bridge - Digital Files - Learn to shoot RAW and work with your RAW files in Photoshop. Work with professional facial enhancing software.

Session 2, which is the practical studio session, covers:

 

Work in the studio and outside (weather permitting) with your camera on manual, and put everything you have learned about exposure to the test. Bring along a friend to model for you if you want, and also shoot still life and close up, using various combinations of the (4) studio lights. Learn about backlighting and fill in.
